Sunday - 11 / 03

Wow. So it's been a month since I've posted anything. Where to start...

Fall break was pretty awesome. I got hardly any sleep during mid-terms, and even though I haven't gotten my grade back, I'm pretty sure I failed my Art History exam... stupid slides. But back to the break lol, even though Racine Wisconsin rolls up the sidewalks uber early and there's not really anything to DO... five college kids can still make a good time of it. It was really good to get away from campus for a while.

The awesome thing is that my classes haven't even gotten back into the swing of homework, so I'm enjoying the easyness while it lasts. Call if you wanna hang out

Has anybody ever heard about rumors circulating for themselves? I'll bet everybody has... well I just thought I'd mention that I'm really tired of hearing about people talking about me who can't just talk to my face. I wonder how many people deal with this? On a more general scale: everybody understands how much it sucks when other people stick their noses in their business... so why don't people realize when they do it to other people? Please excuse my ravings, but watching people acting on self-righteous impulse and destroying relationships and ruining experiences really miffs me.
The flip side of this is it really makes me appreciate the friends I have who have proven themselves to be trustworthy... thanks guys

Shall we press on to a lighter note? I LOVE getting better grades than expected... lol, though it doesn't really inspire me to put more effort into certain, except perhaps realizing that with a little extra motivation (which has been severely lacking this year...) I could bring them up even higher

Oh baby, oh baby I'm so excited for the concert on Nov 19... As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Haste the Day, and Through the Eyes of the Dead are ALL at the HOB. I'll probably end up buying tickets in bulk, so if you want one let me know

This is long enough, I'm done. Peace all, enjoy the weekend

Everybody, everybody, everybody livin now,
Everybody, everybody, everybody ****s,
Everybody, everybody, everybody livin now,
Everybody, everybody, everybody sucks

Yay for homecomming! More yay that it's over and people can stop talking about it all the time lol

I think apathy can be one of the greatest things ever... then sometimes it can be the worse thing ever

Same kinda thing goes with cynicism... as long as you don't expect anything from anyone things are awesome. It's when you decide to ignore your doubts and reservations that it comes back to bite ya

Communication - is wonderful

And maybe tomorrow, we'll forget about this year,
And all the things you wish you could change.
Show me some kindness in the midst of the hardships,
Cause things should never be this way.

Say it loud, say it loud and clear.
Forget about, forget about last year.

Stop wishing it were backwards, it is now or never.
Stop wasting all the time we could have spent together
Wishing you would come back here.
Times were better last year.

And all of your reasons, they change with the seasons,
Day by day they're not the same.
And if you would measure all the
Times that we've treasured,
You would see how my heart breaks.

Say it loud, say it loud and clear.
Forget about, forget about last year.

Stop wishing it were backwards, it is now or never.
Stop wasting all the time we could have spent together
Wishing you would come back here.
Times were better last year.

Twenty hour drive through the Rocky Mountains.
Won't be stopping now cause you know we're rocking.
Tell me, what has happened?
The stereo's stuck with the jukebox jammin' now.

Stop wishing it were backwards, it is now or never.
'Cause you've been wasting all the time we could have spent together.
Stop wishing it were backwards, it is now or never.
Stop wasting all the time we could have spent together
Wishing you would come back here.
Times are better this year,
And will be better next year. ??

9/15/07

So today was a service learning day. I went with my awesome mentor group over to Clifford Court for a couple hours and had a blast. I tell ya what, there's nothing like serving others to get your focus off yourself.

Thankfully, that was exactly what I needed to get myself back to normal. Thanks God

These pics are from our trip into Chicago to look at vases for Art History. Fun. I was in Chicago twice that day cuz I had to be back for the boat cruise lol.

Mandy produces church tonight by herself for the 1st time! CCC at 6:15 for any and all interested.

Now go, find a wench, raise fat babies and live a good long life

For some reason my pics didn't show up on my last post, so here they are again...

Yay! Now that the water's down I can take some rad pics

I tell ya, upper room was so great tonight. I really missed it, some of the songs were so spot on what I needed to hear

The fun we had afterward was probably almost just as needed though, certainly as memorable

I still am hoping things settle down soon... it's the beginning of the year, we shouldn't have to deal with this so soon

Wowzers! What an incredible turnout we had for Small Group kick-off tonight. I dished out $600 and probably owe another $150! So what if that wipes out most of our budget for the semester... it's gonna be a great year. Thanks everybody

Somehow I feel like Noah's Ark was worse this year. Oh well, I'm happy for those involved, just be careful

Yeah I'm totally psyched for my new coffee beans... I really thought I'd used too few grounds this morning, but even weak, this Ubora blend is bold enough that it was still decent

You're so unpredictable and I'm so typical
I keep tearing away at the skin
To see what's underneath
I will sing a melody until the fluid starts choking me
And when my eyes are paralyzed I'll stare up at you my star
That I could never reach

Finally, an evening I can relax a little bit... and I love Thursdays

It's gonna be a great weekend, I can feel it

And don't we all just LOVE emotions? It's it just great how uncontrollable they are isn't it

It can't be good to be so tired after only the first week of classes... I really have to get back into the swing of things, and used to running without sleep

Thanks Robb for telling me about Lightroom! The program is fricken amazing

Friday night, first night of open dorm... lol I'm going to be soo busy

I honestly can't wait until someone finally knows me well enough to be able to tell how I'm really doing. Haste the Day... Substance... rad song, and right on

*Sigh* I'm so relieved that I finally got chapel scanning junk figured out. Thanks for everyone who agreed to help out.

DeHaan I don't know how you don't get sore or bruised from dancing like last night. Hardcore dancing at Judson. Awesome.

While it's so sad to lose a friend, it's sweeter still when they are returned to you

So these pictures are from our first climbing trip of the summer. My little sis pwnes.

Finally our break-neck pace has slowed

Yeah so I just felt the urge one day to take pictures of our tiki torches...

I'm totally digging mentor groups. What a great bunch of kids, 'cept for you Ben... jk

How crazy is it to have both The Least of These and Before Summer Ends playing the same night?

Yay for Volkman having internet!

Wow, now that I have internet I can get back on track with this thing...

Mentor groups rock, so do the kids at Clifford Court.

It is SO good to see everyone back here at JU

I really should be working on my designs for JSO...

Jacqueline, I've missed our Friday's dearly

These pix were NOT taken by me. They were taken during our missions trip by whoever had my camera while I was working. I just cropped and edited them.

So today was a beautiful day to be working on the water.

It was also a good day for snake hunting... yeah lol this is Kentucky, but hey, if you had three snakes on your boat you'd probably shoot 'em with your shotgun too! (plus it was just fun...)

Sometime last week, somebody stole my mp3 player out of my golf cart at work. I was starting to get ticked, but mostly I was just upset about not having it to listen to and thinking about whether or not I could afford to buy another. Today I was informed that it was turned in to a maintenance worker at the lodge just up the road from my marina. This worker just happened to be working right then, and married to one of my fellow employees at the marina. His wife also happened to be one of maybe four people who knew it was stolen. Thanks God.

The finale of House kinda suprised me! I really thought House would cave and do something to get Foreman to stay, and definitely didn't figure on him losing all his staff lol. Glad, however, to see that he's finally revealing his heart.

'Bout time eh?

Yeah, so summer's great... just too bad there's no friends around to share it with lol. The shortest drive is almost a half hour. I can't stand my internet 'cause it's so frikin' slow, so that's why I hardly post anymore

Glad to be back at work... although it gets frusterating when people don't do their jobs

I finally broke out the wakeboard yesterday... I can't wait to get it behind the speedboat and catch some REAL air

I'm also really glad to be back at my home church

Stressed...

Relieved...

Lack of communication can be a real pain... until you look back on it then it's funny.

I love walking in the rain.

I kinda realize that I'm not gonna be studio buddies with the same people anymore. From here on out it'll be VisComm peeps only

Thanks Katherine for being the wonderful friend you are.

Monday - Last week of school

Isn't it strange how you can know someone and never have a clue about what kind of problems they're dealing with? I find it saddening.

My dad used to say that nothing good happens after midnight, but I'm pretty sure most of my best conversations have happened well after...

The funny thing about the clarity of ambiguity is you doubt what you thought was so clear! I wish people could be straight up
